About the Excel bedwetting alarm

The DRI Sleeper Excel is the classic DRI Sleeper alarm and has been used successfully for decades by hundreds of thousands of children worldwide to solve bedwetting.

  • Dual-Sided Sensor with 18 Sensing strips for fast detection of urine
  • Loud Alarm set to a frequency that is ideal for deep sleepers
  • Long Cord (18cm) - for extra reach
  • Works with pull-ups or diapers unlike clip-on sensors
  • Flexible Plastic Sensor - easy to clean & won't rust or corrode like metal ones

The Excel Alarm is attached by a clip to the shoulder of your child's night-shirt with a plug-in double-sided plastic sensor with 18 sensing strips. This means superior moisture detection, which is good for boys who may wet in different areas, and because the sensor goes right inside the underwear it can be used with pull-ups and diapers, unlike alarms with the traditional clip-on sensors.

  • Batteries included (4 * LR44)
  • 1 Year Warranty
  • Toll-free support phone number and email

Great response

Wish we had got this sooner. I was worried he wouldn’t wake, but after only a few days he was and then doing it all himself. (He is 12)

Great news! He is doing a terrific job. We wish him all the best for the future.

It works!

My son is 9 and was still wetting (in a pull up) regularly. He’s never had a sleepover because he’s embarrassed about the wetting, and was not wanting to go to scouting camps this year (now that they’re allowed again) because he didn’t want the others to know he still uses pull ups. The first night we used the DRI Sleeper alarm it went off 4 times through the night, but didn't wake him; the second night it went off 3 times, but he was waking with the sound. I was exhausted and thought I’d made a big mistake. The next night however, there were no alarms until the early hours of the morning, and then many nights went by with no alarms! It’s been about 3 weeks now, and there’s only been one night about a week ago where (oddly enough) the alarm got pulled out and he also happened to wet. He’s so happy with himself, and looking forward to Cub Scout camps.

Hope he has a fantastic time at camp! Congratulations on getting bedwetting sorted.

Amazing

The alarm worked incredibly well with my 5 year old daughter who was a deep sleeper and reliant on pull ups. After failed attempts at night time training due to lockdown and a new baby we were finally ready and I wish we had used an alarm earlier. It took 2 nights of multiple wet beds and then 1 night with 1 wet bed and then she has been dry every night since then. I'm so relieved and she is so proud of herself.

She has done a marvellous job to get her bedwetting sorted so quickly! Congratulations.

Magical!!

After trying for many years we decided to buy an alarm for Mr 9. He was wet basically every night and would often leak through his pull up. It was sad to see him miss out on childhood experiences like sleep overs.
We started putting the alarm into his pullup and had success within a few days! After a couple of weeks of dry nights we decided to switch to undies at night and we havent had one wet night since!!
I'm not sure why this worked so well, but I'm happy to say we are close to having no alarm at all, 50 days after receiving the alarm!
The alarm was a little awkward to fit into the pull up and didnt always work due to the pull ups absorbancy. We found it easier to use a pair of undies under the pull up rather than cutting a slot in it. But the ability to use the pull up really helped save the bedding from wetting at the start which made it less stressful for me.

Congratulations - we hope he will enjoy going on sleep overs now! Well done :)

My daughter has stopped wetting the bed after two weeks of using this product. She had been putting alarm on herself. The first few nights I helped her wake when she didn't on her own, following this she woke on her own prior to the alarm going off! First time ever. Shd then went through a dry week having the alarm on every night. Now she doesn't even use the alarm! Awesome, she is nearly ten, I no longer have to wash sheets all the time and she can look forward to school camp without worrying about taking pullups! Great product

Congratulations! We are so pleased for your daughter :) I hope she has a great time at school camp.

Poor

The alarm didn't work for my daughter unfortunately. She didn't wake up, slept through the alarm.

We can help! It is ok if children initially sleep through the alarm as long as it wakes you up so you can help them. I can provide you with a detailed solution on how to assist your deep sleeper! DRI Sleeper customers are welcome to contact me for personal guidance.

Finally getting there!

The 1st few weeks of using the alarm were tough and it felt like we weren’t making progress (our child slept through the alarm going off and it was nearly impossible to wake them, dealing with a very grouchy kid!). But slowly we started to have some dry nights. It was great to see their confidence and sense of accomplishment as they had strings of dry nights! We found the tips and advice provided great for troubleshooting the issues we were having. We are now nearly at 14 dry nights in a row, definitely worth the perseverance and dealing with the sleep deprivation and grumpiness to get to this point!

Well done for sticking with it and getting a good result!

Okay - falls out too often

The alarm has improved the bed wetting, but has not eliminated the problem. It falls out too often (either comes out of the pull-up or unplugs from the alarm) and my son is a deep sleeper so the alarm doesn’t always wake him. He pees less though, but still not dry!! We’re still trying...

If you are using a pull-up you can cut a small slit and insert the Excel sensor. Wrap it in a small piece of tissue to help it stay in place. See this video https://youtu.be/6q3N4GvDokg

It sounds like progress is being made :)

Questions Parents often ask

Will this work for my child?
Most likely, a bedwetting alarm solves bedwetting for up to 9 in 10 young people. We have many resources and lots of experience so can guide you if needed.
How long will it take?
Typically, 70% of young people will be dry in 2 to 12 weeks using our alarms. Some are quicker, some take longer. We encourage you to use the resources we provide and talk to our adviser to get the best outcome for your young person.
Is it safe?
Yes it is very safe. Our alarms are registered with regulatory agencies around the world. Read more.
The sensor contains Safety Electronics which means no risk of skin irrritation.
There are no metal contacts so no part of the sensor will corrode or deteriorate in urine.
Is it easy?
It is easier than changing then washing sheets everyday! The alarm will wake you and your child up, but it will quickly become routine. Take a break if it gets too much.
Should we continue to use diapers?
We suggest ditching the diapers as they can remove the feeling of wetness which may interfere with the learning process. If you need the diapers to reduce the stress or mess, then go for it.
Won’t they just grow out of it?
Children may eventually learn not to wet the bed on their own. If you think about it, you taught them not to wet themselves during the day – why would you not teach them to not wet during the night?
Do they wet the bed because of low hormones?
Many children have low levels of the hormones that regulate urine production at night, but DON’T wet the bed. If hormones are an issue then your doctor may prescribe medication to use along with the alarm.
My child wets the bed because they are deep sleepers – will the alarm help?
Yes, you can use our strategies for deep sleepers to help them sleep learn to sleep dry. Remember MANY children are deep sleepers and don’t wet the bed.
